Creating Turnitin Assignments

1. Click the Turn editing on button located on the upper right hand side of your module.

2. Click the Add an activity or resource link.

3. Select Turnitin Assignment 2 from Activities list, then click the Add button.

4. Turnitin Assignment Name - Enter your assignment title.

5. Submission Type - There are 2 student submission options: File Upload and Text Submission. Text Submission will require your students to copy and paste their paper in a text box. You may select File Upload to allow your students to upload a file.

6. Number of Parts - Select the number of parts you would like the assignment to have. 

7. Maximum File Size - Turnitin allows up to 2mb for text submission and 40mb for a text and graphic submission. 

8. Allow submission of any file type - Select No, so only file types that allow originality reports to be generated will be accepted.

9. Display Originality Reports to Students - You can opt whether to allow students to view originality report for their submission or not. 

10. Grade Display - You can opt to show student grades as fractions or percentages.

11. Auto Refresh Grade / Scores - Select Yes, to automatically refresh originality scores and grades.

12. Select the type of grading or you may leave the Grade options to default.

13. Set the start date, due date, post date for this assignment.
